7 reasons why you MUST have your own info product

Think about this: What’s the most common reason people get online each and every day? Simple. To get information. Google alone serves up 400 million searches per day! So what does this mean to you? It means that you have a massive opportunity to give people exactly what they’re looking for – information. And when done correctly, you can get paid for it, too!

What is info marketing?

This is by far the simplest business you can start. You take information and turn it into a digital product – like and ebook. And other people buy this product to get the info. Pretty simple, wouldn’t you say?

How do you make it work?

You’ve got the basic concept – exchange info for money. However, to succeed there has to be value in the info you’re selling. So the key is to figure out what people want. How can you find out what people want?

A super simple trick is to just to check “answer” sites. Just go to Yahoo! answers or ask.com and see what kinds of questions people are asking. You want to find something a lot of people are asking about. For things that are causing people discomfort. And provide the answer – in the form of an info product.

Power tip

If you’re concerned about information product development Think about this: An ebook is nothing more than a collection of articles. Writing a whole ebook can be overwhelming. Just try to write one or two articles a day. And when you have a collection, expand and embellish them and put them together into an ebook.

So, what’s so great about ebooks? Funny you should ask . . . Here are 7 reasons for you:

1. Simplicity

Once it’s built it runs pretty much on it’s own. And your customers need very little support. So it’s nearly a 100% hands-free business. It really is like and automatic money machine.

You don’t have any inventory. You never have to deal with shipping. It’s digital.

2. Product combos

Once you have a few info products created. You can just combine them into a more expensive product. It’s nothing to combine the content from several ebooks. And your new product will be able to carry a much higher sticker price. There’s greater perceived value in a single big course. As opposed to a bunch of little ones.

3. Private label right

You can grant other people resell rights to your own products. Resell rights are very hot right now, because it’s much easier to get the resell right than to make your own product. And the best part is you get to charge two to three time as much for these rights.

4. Leverage

It’s your content, so you can use it in as many different ways as you want. Take parts of your info product and turn it into a email training series. You can use this to build a list that you can marketing to again and again.

5. More leverage

You can also take parts of your ebook and turn it into smaller eBooks. Then you can use the reports as the front-end of your product funnel. You can give them away or even charge a small amount for them. Either way, you win because you’re feeding your funnel. And if you’re really clever, you’ll let your affiliate use these reports as marketing tools. Which brings us to…

6. Affiliates

This is one of the biggest reasons of all. If you’ve got products you own. You can get other people to promote it for you. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a bunch of other people doing your marketing for you? Well, you *need* your own product to get affiliates.

7. Joint Ventures

I’ve saved the best for last. Joint ventures are the biggest short cut to success known to man. So, I’d say this is the most important reason to have you own products. Because if you don’t have you own product, you’ve got nothing to JV.

Summary

If you can’t see the power of info product marketing, then you’re either crazy or not listening. 😉 You’ll be the master of your destiny. Because you’re 100% in control. So, decide to just start:

  • Go to answers.yahoo.com
  • See what people are asking about
  • Write about the answers

Don’t make info product creation any more complicated than that. Before you know it, you’ll have your own info product.
